Suspended Boise State defensive back Lee Hightower has decided to finish his career with the Houston Cougars.

Hightower, a starting safety for the Broncos until a midseason suspension, posted highlights of his official visit to Houston on his Tumblr account.

"Was in Houston this past weekend for my official visit," Hightower wrote. "Really dope city and school and I'll be here for the next 3 years."

Any other details from the visit, Mr. Hightower?

"This lunch spot Del Friscos had these philly cheesesteak egg rolls that were amazing too."

When contacted by the Idaho Statesman this week, Houston would not confirm the transfer. Schools are prohibited from commenting officially on prospective student-athletes until they have signed a grant-in-aid agreement. Unless Hightower applies for a waiver from the NCAA, he will likely have to sit out the 2013 season and join the Cougars on the field in 2014.

After the midseason suspension, Hightower was suspended indefinitely again in February for a violation of team rules. Hightower recorded 31 tackles, one interception and one forced fumble in seven games. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining when he officially joins the Cougars.

Hightower is the second defensive starter to leave Chris Petersen's doghouse and find a home elsewhere this offseason. Earlier this month, freshman All-American defensive end Sam Ukwuachu was dismissed from the team. On Monday, Ukwuachu told reporters that he will transfer to Baylor, with plans to report to Waco on June 3.
