It may have gone unnoticed with March Madness going on in the college sports world but Georgia Tech is on the recruiting board after picking up a commitment from Hampton (Ga.) running back Travis Custis on Monday night.
"I decided today to commit. I love the place and the facility. I love the plays and the way Tech uses the running backs," Custis told JacketsOnline.com. "I love it."

THe 6-foot, 215-pound back comes in at a position of need for Georgia Tech and also held offers from Clemson, Miami, Vanderbilt and others. He's the Yellow Jackets' first in 2013 however and that does mean something to Custis.

"Being the first commitment is extra special for me," he said. "I am going to help recruit for Tech now."

Custis will head to Atlanta after breaking several rushing records at his high school set by a few players that made it to the NFL, capping his junior year with a trip to the state championship game and 1,839 yards and 30 touchdowns.
