Georgia's Keith Marshall out with knee injury
With Todd Gurley already out, the Georgia backfield got even thinner with Keith Marshall's knee injury.
An already injury-struck Georgia backfield is even thinner after running back Keith Marshall left the Bulldogs' game against Tennessee with an apparent knee injury.
Marshall took a heavy hit to his right knee while attempting to make a first-quarter catch and had to be helped off the field. He was taken to the Bulldog trainers' table and carted into the locker room after an examination of the knee.
CBS's Tracy Wolfson reported that Marshall had been declared out for the remainder of the game.
Marshall entered the game with 213 rushing yards, 96 of them coming against LSU the previous Saturday in relief of starter Todd Gurley. Gurley injured his ankle in the first half of the win over the Tigers and is out for the Tennessee game as well.
True freshman J.J. Green and fullback Brendan Douglas are expected to get the bulk of the carries with Gurley and Marshall sidelined.
