Through 3 Quarters
The Northern Illinois Huskies are on the road but looking no worse for wear. Sitting on a score of 24-17, they have looked like the better team out there today, but there's still one more quarter to play.
NIU has been riding high on the performance of WR Trayvon Rudolph, who has rushed for one TD and 75 yards on one carry in addition to catching three passes for 64 yards. The Buffalo Bulls have been led by RB Dylan McDuffie, who so far has rushed for one TD and 79 yards on 15 carries.
the Bulls have lost 80% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this season, so this one seems just about wrapped up

What to Know
The Northern Illinois Huskies and the Buffalo Bulls are set to square off in a Mid-American matchup at 7 p.m. ET Nov. 17 at UB Stadium. The Huskies will be strutting in after a victory while Buffalo will be stumbling in from a defeat.
It was all tied up 17-17 at the half for NIU and the Ball State Cardinals last week, but NIU stepped up in the second half for a 30-29 win. It was another big night for NIU's RB Jay Ducker, who rushed for one TD and 155 yards on 24 carries.
Special teams collected 12 points for NIU. K John Richardson delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
Meanwhile, the Bulls have to be hurting after a devastating 45-18 loss at the hands of the Miami (OH) RedHawks last Tuesday. Buffalo was down 38-10 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. Their defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of WR Quian Williams, who caught nine passes for one TD and 104 yards, and RB Dylan McDuffie, who punched in one rushing touchdown.
This next matchup is expected to be close, with the Huskies going off at just a 1.5-point favorite. If their 6-3 record against the spread is anything to go by, the prospects look good for bets placed on them.
NIU is now 7-3 while Buffalo sits at 4-6. A pair of defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: NIU is 242nd worst in the nation in rushing touchdowns allowed, with 27 on the season. Buffaloes have had an even harder time: they are stumbling into the game with the 226th most rushing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 22 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
