Down three at the end of last quarter, the Incarnate Word Cardinals have now snagged the lead. It's anybody's game after three quarters, but the Cardinals are ahead of the Texas State Bobcats 28-24. Both teams won their last games, so Incarnate Word is looking to continue their success while spoiling Texas State's.

Incarnate Word has yet to string together two consecutive wins, but this may be their chance. For now, all signs point to yes.

What to Know

The Incarnate Word Cardinals fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game Saturday as the odds are decidedly against them. They will head out on the road to face off against the Texas State Bobcats at 7 p.m. ET at Jim Wacker Field at Bobcat Stadium. Incarnate Word will be seeking to avenge the 48-17 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Oct. 1 of 2016.

The Cardinals made easy work of the Prairie View A&M Panthers last week and carried off a 40-9 victory. With Incarnate Word ahead 30 to nothing at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Texas State ultimately got the result they were hoping for last week with a 23-17 win over the FIU Panthers.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Incarnate Word and Texas State clash.
