The Liberty Flames were the heavy favorites here for a reason. After three quarters it's looking more and more like their high-powered offense is just too much for the Old Dominion Monarchs as Liberty lead 42-17.

Both the Flames and Old Dominion padded the win column in their previous outings. It's looking like Liberty will be able to keep the momentum, but Old Dominion still has a quarter to right the ship.

What to Know

The Old Dominion Monarchs are staring down a pretty large 27.5-point disadvantage in the spread for Saturday's matchup. They will face off against the Liberty Flames on the road at 6 p.m. ET Saturday at Williams Stadium. The Monarchs will be seeking to avenge the 52-10 loss they suffered the last time these two teams played Sept. 1 of 2018.

Everything came up roses for Old Dominion at home against the Hampton Pirates last week as the team secured a 47-7 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34 to nothing.

Meanwhile, Liberty was able to grind out a solid victory over the Troy Trojans last week, winning 21-13. Liberty QB Malik Willis did work as he passed for two TDs and 154 yards on 18 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 93 yards.

Liberty's defense was a presence as well, as it got past Troy's offensive line to sack QB Taylor Powell five times for a total loss of 41 yards. Leading the way was LB Storey Jackson and his 1.5 sacks. Those were the first sacks for Jackson.
