Malik Jefferson predicted high in 2018 NFL Draft
The Texas linebacker is among the highest-rated possibly prospects in the 2018 NFL Draft
The 2017 NFL Draft is less than a month away and Texas' D'Onta Foreman is predicted to be among the only Longhorn to get selected.
But what about 2018? Texas has several talented juniors and seniors that could get a shot in the NFL come next spring.
Walterfootball.com released their latest 2018 NFL Mock Draft recently and linebacker Malik Jefferson is among the highest-rated prospects. The publication selected him to go No. 10 overall to the New Orleans Saints.
Here's what they said: "The Saints have numerous issues on defense at every level. This includes their linebacking corps, thanks to their foolish decision to sign James Laurinaitis last offseason. They can make amends for that by drafting the ultra-talented Malik Jefferson."
Of course, plenty can and will change over the next year. However, if Jefferson was to go with the Saints, he would join former Longhorns Kenny Vaccaro and Alex Okafor, who signed with New Orleans this offseason.
If Jefferson has a breakout junior season under new defensive coordinator Todd Orlando, he could also see that stock rise even higher.
