Penn State changes mind, players show up at media days
Silas Redd swapped out for linebacker Michael Mauti
CHICAGO -- In a 180 of a 180, Penn State changed directions and decided to bring three players to the Big Ten media days that began Thursday morning.
The Big Ten confirmed Wednesday that Silas Redd, Jordan Hill and John Urschel would not be here to speak to media. Only coaches are required to attend media days. However, Penn State changed its mind again when linebacker Michael Mauti, Hill and Urschel were allowed to attend.
Mauti took the place of Redd who reportedly was visiting USC.
