PHOTO: Nebraska honors Nick Pasquale with helmet decal
As promised, Nebraska will honor the memory of Bruin wide receiver Nick Pasquale, killed in a car accident Sunday, with a helmet decal.
Nebraska announced earlier this week that it would join UCLA in honoring the memory of Bruin wide receiver Nick Pasquale with a special helmet decal during the two teams' game in Lincoln this Saturday.
Via the official Huskers Twitter feed, here's a photo of the helmet and decal, featuring Pasquale's No. 36:
Pasquale was killed when a car stuck him Sunday morning in San Clemente, Calif. Per the Huskers' tweet, Bo Pelini has said that the loss is "bigger than any football game."
"This is a tragic loss," UCLA's Jim Mora said in a statement this week. "Nick was an outstanding young man who had a positive impact on everyone who knew him. He was a great teammate who was loved and respected by his entire team. Our thoughts are with the Pasquale family."
The Huskers announced in the summer they would be wearing their "Unrivaled" alternate uniforms against the Bruins.
