Photo: Notre Dame jerseys will have names for title game

It'll be much easier to know who is who on Notre Dame in Miami. (Notre Dame)

That photo is from Notre Dame's football equipment Twitter account and, obviously, it is a Manti Te'o Notre Dame jersey with his name on the back. Which is not something Notre Dame normally does. But for the fourth time in school history, the players will have their names on their jerseys when they take on Alabama for the national title.

It's also the fourth consecutive bowl game in which Notre Dame has done this. It had names on its jerseys during the Hawaii Bowl, Sun Bowl and the Champs Sports Bowl against Florida State last season.

And, as is usually the case with programs that are rich with tradition like Notre Dame, I'm sure plenty of Notre Dame fans will be upset about it. Because when you're team is 12-0 and about to play for a national title, you have to find something to get angry at. It might as well be names on jerseys.

But, just a reminder for you potentially angry Notre Dame fans, it could be worse. Much, much worse.
