This summer's Colorado wildfires hit a dangerous new level Tuesday as the Waldo Canyon Fire burned out of control just outside of Colorado Springs. Per the Denver Post more than 32,000 people have been evacuated, including the residents of the U.S. Air Force Academy, as firefighters struggle to contain the blaze.

According to the AP, the fire has stretched within 5 miles of the Academy campus.
