PODCAST: Weekend bowl picks, odd prop bets
Tom Fornelli and Jerry Hinnen join Chip Patterson to break down the weekend bowl games against the spread and discuss odd prop bets.
|Will the long trip to Hawaii keep Fresno State and SMU from lighting up the scoreboard on Christmas Eve? (US Presswire)|
The Weekend Picks Panel makes a bold return to break down the weekend bowl games both straight up and against the spread. Tom Fornelli (@TomFornelli) and Jerry Hinnen (@JerryHinnen) join me to break down all of the bowl games between the Poinsettia (Dec. 20) and Little Caesars (Dec. 26) both straight up and against the spread.
But since it can be difficult to predict the bowl games with so many more extraneous factors in play, I offer some odd props for each of the weekend bowl games. With no time to prepare, Tom and Jerry must answer the important questions: like how many "Home Field Advantage" references will be made on the New Orleans Bowl broadcast of East Carolina Pirates -Louisiana-Lafayette and which team is more likely to miss curfew in Las Vegas between Boise State Broncos and Washington Huskies . We also tackle some on-field props like point totals and Derek Carr 's total passing yards against SMU.
