Quick Hits: No. 2 Oregon 70, Colorado 14

OREGON WON: Kenjon Barner rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries as No. 2 Oregon (8-0) crushed hapless Colorado (1-7), 70-14, in Eugene. The Ducks built a 56-0 halftime lead and cruised to the easy win. Oregon piled up 425 yards on the ground, getting 97 yards from De'Anthony Thomas, who also broke off a nifty 73-yard punt return for a touchdown. Christian Powell rushd for 121 yards and two touchdowns for Colorado, which managed just 245 total yards.

WHEN OREGON WON: This game was probably decided the day Colorado chose to join the Pac-10 conference. The Ducks just don't lose to 47-point underdogs at Autzen Stadium. The backups were in the game by the second quarter.

WHY OREGON WON: Oregon's combination of scheme, speed, talent and skill was just too overwhelming for Colorado. This was nothing more than tune up for the Ducks heading into next week's big game with USC and they got through it without breaking a sweat.

WHAT OREGON WON: The Ducks got through this week without any injuries or distractions, rested its starters for half the game and now can head to Los Angeles with fresh legs to take on USC.

WHAT COLORADO LOST: Colorado really has nothing left to lose, which makes its performance all the more demoralizing. There were no bright spots for the Buffaloes in this game, unless you consider playing Oregon's backups to a draw in the second half a positive.

THAT WAS CRAZY: Oregon has now scored at least 40 points in 11-straight games.
