Report: Illinois WR Darius Millines, DE Darrius Caldwell kicked off team
Illinois loses two key players as it tries to bounce back from a 2-10 season.
Millines was the Illini's second-leading receiver last fall as a junior, catching 32 passes for 319 yards. His expulsion from the program comes on the heels of a suspension handed down by coach Tim Beckman in March.
Caldwell, a promising sophomore-to-be, had 17 tackles last season, including five for losses and 2 1/2 sacks.
Losing these players, especially Caldwell, is a blow for a team that needs as much depth as possible as it tries to bounce back from a dismal 2-10 season.
