Reports: 49ers sign WR Rashard Ross, K Nick Rose

The 49ers have reportedly signed two players to reserve/future contracts -- wide receiver Rashad Ross (per CSN Bay Area) and kicker Nick Rose (per the San Francisco Chronicle).

Ross (6-0, 180) joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Arizona State in 2013 and has been well-traveled since then. After originally signing with the Tennessee Titans, Ross has had stints with the Chiefs, Bears, Lions, and Redskins, where he played from 2014 to 2016. Ross has appeared in 20 NFL games, two of them with the Bears and 18 of them with the Redskins, and has nine catches for 184 yards and a touchdown (of 74 yards). Ross also returned 34 kicks with the Bears and Redskins for an average of 23.9 with one of them being a 101-yard touchdown.

Rose (6-2, 203) joined the Atlanta Falcons in 2016 as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Texas. Rose was cut by the Falcons towards the end of the preseason. Rose was 27-of-38 on field goals and 71-of-74 on extra points at Texas.
