It might only be the fifth week of college football, but we are already seeing school and NCAA records being broken all over the place.
The West Virginia vs. Baylor game, of course, will be the poster child for this crazy stat day with both quarterbacks throwing for more than 500 yards, but tons of other games also saw some huge performances.
If this is the way September closed out, we can only imagine what's in store for October.
Here are the biggest passing performance Saturday:
581 -- Nick Florence, Baylor. Set a school record for most passing yards, breaking Robert Griffin III's numbers.
536 -- Derek Carr, Fresno State. Threw for a career-high in yardage with 42 completions and five touchdowns in the 52-40 win over San Diego State.
516 -- Zac Dysert , Miami (OH) . In addition to throwing for a career-high 519 yards and six touchdowns, Dysert was the Redhawks' leading rusher with 109 yards on 14 attempts. (Recap)
453 -- Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M. The redshirt freshman was 29-of-38 passes for 453 yards and three TDs against Arkansas. He also ran for 104 yards, giving him 557 yards of total offense, breaking the old SEC record of 540 held by Archie Manning and Rohan Davey. (Recap)
314 -- Terrance Williams, Baylor. Set a Big 12 record with 314 yards receiving on 17 receptions and two TDs.
303 -- Stedman Bailey, West Virgina. Also had five touchdowns to go along with 13 receptions.
215 -- Tavon Austin, West Virginia. Would have been the school record if not for Bailey's numbers.
208 -- Dawan Scott, Miami (Ohio). Was Dysert's favorite target with 208 yards receiving on 11 receptions.
200 -- Tommy Shuler, Marshall. The wide out set Marshall's single-game record with 19 receptions and finished with 200 yards. (Recap)
222 -- Cody Getz, Air Force. Getz had 222 of Air Force's 459 yards in the win over Colorado State. Getz's career-high mark made him the first player in Air Force history to begin a season with four consecutive 100-yard rushing games and the first with two 200-yard games in the same season since Chad Hall in 2007. (Recap)
