Texas A&M's eye-popping rout of South Carolina on Thursday night has paid off in massive rebates for recent customers of Ashley Furniture in College Station.

The store, which is also an official sponsor of the football team, offered a promotion tied to the score of Thursday night's game. If Texas A&M won by 10 points or more (check), then all furniture bought between Aug. 16 and Aug. 27 would be free

Store owner Mark Wilks told ESPN.com that it was the best month of sales in the location's eight-year history. The total sales for those 11 days of the promotion reportedly topped $1 million.

ESPN.com noted that Ashley Furniture won't be crushed by the financial loss thanks to an insurance policy and the cost of that insurance policy given the game's outlook a few weeks ago.

The furniture store is not going out of business thanks to fact that Wilks took out insurance. With the Aggies a 10½-point underdog, Wilks was able to get the insurance relatively cheap. He says he'll pay the insurance company roughly 15 percent of the total that they will reimburse to customers.

Clearly furniture-seeking Texas A&M fans had more faith in the Aggies than the CBS Sports Experts, who all predicted a South Carolina win (straight up) on Thursday night
