Texas Tech safety Austin Stewart hit by a bus

There is never a pleasant way to say that somebody was hit by a bus, but thankfully the injuries suffered by Texas Tech safety Austin Stewart don't seem to be too serious.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Stewart was hit by a bus Wednesday morning while crossing the street on a scooter.

Texas Tech spokesman Blayne Beal told the paper that Stewart's injuries are considered to be minor injuries. Stewart was transported to the University Medical Center where he was checked out by both team physicians and athletic trainers.

As if the incident doesn't sound scary enough, Stewart's roommate, Texas Tech linebacker Chris Payne, tweeted a photo of the damage done to the bus that hit Stewart.

As you can see, this story could have had an ending that was much worse.
