Texas Tech suspends WR Moore indefinitely
Moore was charged with driving while intoxicated in April.
Texas Tech wide receiver Darrin Moore has been suspended indefinitely from the football program, according to associate athletic director Blayne Beal.
The suspension stems from an April arrest in which Moore was charged with driving while intoxicated. Beal told the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal that the school did not condone Moore's action and that he "made a poor choice."
“He violated team policy and coach Tommy Tuberville will make sure he faces all the consequences necessary,” Beal told the paper.
Beal also said there is no guarantee Moore will be reinstated to the football team.
Moore finished the 2011 season third on the team with 47 receptions for 571 yards and second on the team with eight touchdowns.
