University of Georgia police have issued a warrant for the arrest of five-star wide receiver recruit Darnell Salomon, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Wednesday.

According to a police report released to the AJC, Salomon stands accused of entering the residence hall suite of two female Georgia athletes Saturday morning and taking an iPhone and a wallet. Salomon was in Athens to attend Georgia's Dawg Night recruiting camp.

The report stated that Salomon's mother has been made aware of the warrant and the process by which he would turn himself in to the Athens-Clarke County Sheriff's Office. Salomon's plans are currently "unclear," per the AJC.

Salomon's high school coach, Mike Tunsil of Hialeah, Fla.'s Champagnat Catholic told 247Sports Wednesday he believes his player to be innocent.

“When the facts in the case come out we’re all sure Darnell Salomon will be cleared of all charges,” Tunsil said.

Salomon is one of the nation's highest sought-after recruits for the class of 2016, currently ranked by the 247Sports composite as the nation's No. 3 wide receiver and the No. 21 player overall. In addition to Georgia's, Salomon has offers from across the SEC and ACC, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Florida, Clemson, LSU and others. Per 247Sports, he has named a top three of Alabama, Clemson and Florida State.
