VIDEO: Florida State to renovate facilities

When you win a national championship you need to make room in your trophy case for your new prize. Or you can just do what Florida State is doing, and completely renovate the entire building surrounding your trophy case.

Florida State announced that it will begin renovations on its football facilities in April, including the locker room, meeting rooms and offices.

"What we wanted to do was take the momentum of this year with the national championship and incorporate some of these ideas we had to redo the stuff the players and staff use every day," said Mark Robinson, the school's director of football operations. "Every day they use the locker room, they use the meeting room space, and coaches' offices. So what we wanted to do was come in and completely redesign all that area and rejuvenate it."

The focus of the renovations will be the locker room, where Robinson said that designers will use the locker rooms of the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys as inspiration.
