VIDEO: FSU fans head to local Winn-Dixie to see BCS trophy
Florida State fans had a chance to see the school's newest piece of crystal at a Tallahassee Winn-Dixie.
It's become an annual tradition. A school wins the BCS National Championship, it's handed The Coaches Trophy and returns home with its crystal football. That crystal football then makes its way to a local grocery store for fans to see it up close and take photos with it.
And for the first time since 2009 this tradition took place outside the state of Alabama, as a Winn-Dixie in Tallahassee was able to host the trophy for Florida State fans this year.
Surely these folks will live to tell the tale of the time they went to the grocery store to see a trophy, and it will pass on through the generations. Which is much longer than that gallon of milk they bought on the way out will last.
