VIDEO: Kent State LB Andre Parker recovers fumble, runs 58 yards the wrong way
Kent State LB Andre Parker recovered a fumble on a punt against Towson, but ran 58 yards the wrong way with the ball.
The first evening of college football has already given us one of the oddest plays we will likely see all season. Kent State jumped out to an impressive 27-7 halftime lead against FCS foe Towson, but it did not come without an embarrassing blooper for sophomore linebacker Andre Parker.
A fumble on a Kent State punt was recovered by Parker inside the 10 yard line. But instead of falling on the ball or taking it in for a touchdown, the apparently turned-around linebacker dashed down the sideline for 58 yards - in the wrong direction.
The Golden Flashes are still in control, but Parker's teammates probably will not let him forget this play anytime soon.
