WATCH: Louisiana Tech loses 87 yards on one play in the most comical fashion
The Bulldogs surprisingly didn't get a first down after this
Well, this is one of the most amazing negative plays college football has ever produced. How many times do you see a play that goes for negative yardage -- for practically the entire length of the field?
Louisiana Tech was facing a 2nd-and-goal against Mississippi State when a fumble drove the Bulldogs 87 yards back in the other direction. The ensuing scramble for the ball was something out of a "Benny Hill" show (more on that later). How the announcers managed to not burst into laughter is truly a mystery. The video is above, setting up a 3rd and 93 for Louisiana Tech.
And here it is with the more appropriate music ...
You'll be stunned to know they didn't convert.
