Through 3 Quarters
The point spread is against the UNLV Rebels, but thus far the points are on their side. Sitting on a score of 20-13, they have looked like the better team out there today, but there's still one more quarter to play.
No one has had a standout game offensively for the Rebels, but they have gotten scores from RB Charles Williams and WR Steve Jenkins. The San Jose State Spartans have been led by QB Nick Nash, who so far has accumulated 207 passing yards in addition to picking up 97 yards on the ground.
UNLV's lead is the biggest they have had this season going into the fourth quarter.

What to Know
The San Jose State Spartans and the UNLV Rebels are set to square off in a Mountain West matchup at 11 p.m. ET Oct. 21 at Allegiant Stadium. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'
SJSU fought the good fight in their overtime game against the San Diego State Aztecs last week but wound up with a less-than-desirable result, falling 19-13. The Spartans' only offensive touchdown came from RB Tyler Nevens.
Meanwhile, UNLV scored first but ultimately less than the Utah State Aggies in their matchup last week. The Rebels didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 28-24 to Utah State. UNLV was their own worst enemy and cost themselves 95 yards in penalties. They might have lost, but man -- RB Charles Williams was a total machine. He rushed for three TDs and 221 yards on 27 carries. Williams put himself on the highlight reel with a 75-yard TD scramble in the first quarter. Williams' sharp performance set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season.
SJSU is the favorite in this one, with an expected 6-point margin of victory. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last Friday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.
The Spartans are now 3-4 while the Rebels sit at 0-6. A pair of defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: SJSU is 199th worst in the nation in passing touchdowns allowed, with 11 on the season. UNLV has experienced some passing struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the contest with the 241st most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 17 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
