Before you make any bets or picks for Week 9 of the college football season, you need to hear what Barrett Sallee has to say.

A CBS Sports college football expert, ESPNU SiriusXM Radio host and Heisman Trophy voter, Sallee is absolutely crushing the books this year.

He continues to be among the top CBS experts picking against the spread with a stunning 91-68 mark this season. He's also cashing on 67 percent of his best bets that he has shared with SportsLine.

When he shared his favorite selections at SportsLine last week, he said Auburn would easily cover as a 15.5-point favorite against Arkansas. The result? The Tigers rolled to a 52-20 victory. Anybody who took his advice didn't even break a sweat.

Now, Sallee has studied the college football matchups for Week 9 and he's again sharing his favorite picks over at SportsLine.

We'll give one huge one away: Sallee is calling for Penn State to not only cover 6.5 points against Ohio State, but also for the Nittany Lions to pull off the upset.

Sallee saw Penn State cruise past Michigan last week in a 42-13 beatdown of the Wolverines. While Ohio State's defense is ranked 16th nationally, Michigan has a top-five defense and wasn't able to do anything to slow Penn State down.

"While I love Ohio State's defense, you saw how explosive coach James Franklin's crew was last weekend against a very good Michigan defense," Sallee said.

Penn State's offense is more than just Heisman front-runner Saquon Barkley. Sallee is impressed with what he's seeing from dual-threat quarterback Trace McSorley as well.

Barkley has five total touchdowns the past two weeks, while McSorley had three rushing touchdowns last week against Michigan. He now has seven TDs on the ground this season and another 14 through the air.

Sallee is expecting a shootout in this top-10 matchup and says Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett is the one who will make a big mistake to cost the Buckeyes.

Take Penn State, a team that is undefeated straight up and 5-2 against the spread, and the points, and feel confident about getting a nice payout.

Sallee, who is an astonishing 40-17 on his SEC picks against the spread for CBS this season, has also identified an SEC team that is about to dominate again this week and will easily cover a large spread. Find out who it is at SportsLine and you'll be well on your way to a profitable weekend.
