No. 11 Iowa State will take its undefeated record into Morgantown for a Big 12 showdown with West Virginia. Can the Cyclones get another explosive game out of their offense after it shredded Baylor last week?

Through the first four games of the season, Iowa State was really leaning on its stingy defense to win games while the offense lagged behind. That changed last weekend when the Cyclones dropped 43 points and 542 yards on the Bears. The backfield duo of Jaylon Jackson and Carson Hansen went off for a combined 204 yards and two touchdowns.

The Iowa State defense still did its part, holding Baylor to 79 rushing yards while also intercepting Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson.

After a tough first few weeks of the season, West Virginia has started conference play with two straight wins over Kansas and Oklahoma State. The Mountaineers can make it three straight wins with a top-15 opponent in town on Saturday.

Last weekend, West Virginia steamrolled Oklahoma State on the ground. The Mountaineers rushed for 389 yards, and running back Jaheim White led the way with 158 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Garrett Greene tacked on 86 rushing yards and a score as well. That ground game will get a bigger challenge against the Iowa State defense this week.
