Who's No. 2?

Sorry for being a little late with these this week.  Basketball had my attention this week.

I'm 28-18 overall, 20-26 against the spread.

South Carolina at LSU (-3) -- I like the Tigers because they are better at home and because of where this game sits on South Carolina's schedule; but if the Gamecocks win, they could start out No. 2 in this week's BCS, especially with Oregon off this week.

Stanford at Notre Dame (-7, cover) -- The Irish defense has been carrying the load, but Everett Golson looked good against the sieve that is the Miami defense. A little tougher challenge awaits this week.

Oklahoma (-3.5, cover) over Texas -- The Sooners defense is in better shape and should be the difference.

Oregon State (+5.5) at BYU -- Both teams are shorthanded at QB, but BYU's kicking game is non-existent. Tough to beat good teams without a kicker.

Wisconsin (+1) at Purdue -- The supposedly stalwart Boiler defense has been shredded two straight weeks. Not that the Badgers have been steady offensively. This game is likely for the Leaders division title.

Fresno State at Boise State (-7) -- The Bulldogs have shown that they are capable, but it's tough to win on the Smurf Turf.

Upset of the Week: Louisiana Tech (+8.5) over Texas A&M -- Boise suddenly has a challenger for a BCS spot.
