Anthony Rush: Let go Thursday
The Falcons waived Rush on Thursday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Rush was dropped by Atlanta after re-signing with the team on a one-year contract this offseason. The 350-pound nose tackle recorded seven tackles over 82 defensive snaps through the first four weeks of the season, and he'll look to land a roster spot with a new squad in need of depth on the interior defensive line.

Falcons' Anthony Rush: Returns to Atlanta
Rush signed a one-year contract with Atlanta on Thursday.
Rush began the 2021 campaign with the Titans but made 10 appearances for Atlanta across the second half of the season. During his time with the Falcons, he logged 19 tackles (10 solo) and a forced fumble. The 25-year-old will continue to provide depth on the defensive line in 2022.

Rush was elevated from the Falcons' practice squad Saturday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Rush joined the Falcons earlier this season after playing for the Titans in Week 1 and 2 in a very limited role. He'll help add depth to the Falcons' defensive line with Jonathan Bullard out Sunday with a concussion.

Rush's stint on the COVID-19 list was short, as he spent just five days away from the team. He signed with the Titans after being cut by the Packers this offseason. Eagles' Anthony Rush: May start in NFL debut
Rush is expected to start Sunday against the Bills, Mike Kaye of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Rush was signed off the Raiders' practice squad earlier this week, but he originally signed with the Eagles after going undrafted out of UAB in April before waived over the summer. The 23-year-old should see a sizable role as he makes his NFL debut Sunday at Buffalo, with Tim Jernigan (foot) missing the last five games and with Hassan Ridgeway (ankle) and Malik Jackson (foot) on injured reserve. The only other healthy defensive tackle on the roster besides All-Pro Fletcher Cox is another undrafted rookie in Albert Huggins, who was also signed this week.

Rush was signed from the Raiders' practice squad as the Eagles parted ways with veteran defensive tackle Akeem Spence. An undrafted rookie, Rush was a standout during the Raiders preseason and has spent the entire season on the practice squad.
