LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Bryson Johnson made five 3-pointers and scored 17 points as Bucknell defeated Colgate 70-57 on Wednesday night in a Patriot League game.
Mike Muscala and Bryan Cohen each added 13 points for the Bison (12-6, 2-0), who have won 12 consecutive conference games. Muscala also had 11 rebounds.
The Bison overcame a 16-13 deficit with a 10-0 run midway through the first half to take the lead for good. Bucknell, which has won four in a row, led by as many as 15 points in the second half. Bucknell was strong close to the basket, outrebounding the Red Raiders 38-25 and outscoring them in the paint 26-12.
Cohen made 6 of 8 field goal attempts to pace a 52.9 percent (27 of 51) shooting night for the Bison.
Brandon James and Pat Moore each scored 10 points for Colgate (5-11, 0-2), which has lost six straight.
