Green scores 17 as Radford beats The Citadel 76-59

RADFORD, Va. (AP) Javonte Green went 8 for 11 from the floor with 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead Radford over The Citadel 76-59 on Thursday.

Radford (10-4) opened the game with 16-4 run and held a 40-25 advantage at halftime. The Highlanders built their biggest lead at 57-32 on Kion Brown's jumper with 13:01 remaining and never allowed The Citadel to challenge the outcome from there.

R.J. Price added 16 points and Jalen Carethers had 10 points and six rebounds for the Highlanders which also won in the only other meeting with The Citadel - a 74-61 victory in Charleston, S.C., a year ago.

Matt Van Scyoc scored 17 points to lead for The Citadel (4-11) and Quinton Marshall added 10 for the Bulldogs which have now lost seven of their last eight.
