Demetrius Denzel-Dyson led Samford with 23 points, Justin Coleman added 15, Alex Thompson 12 and Eric Adams 10 with three blocked shots, two coming late in the game as Samford rallied into a 59-59 tie. The Bulldogs (1-5) have lost four in a row.

Samford had closed to 73-70 before Filmore hit the clutch free throws.
