DURHAM, N.H. (AP) Cedric Hankerson scored 17 points, Javante McCoy had the winning free throw, and Boston University held off New Hampshire 70-69 on Wednesday night.

Max Mahoney added 15 points and six rebounds for the Terriers (3-3), who won their third straight on the road.

New Hampshire led 44-41 on Jacoby Armstrong's layup after the Terriers went scoreless for nearly four minutes early in the second half. Iba Camara's jumper tied it at 67 for UNH with 2:27 to play and teammate Tanner Leissner's layup knotted it at 69 with 11 seconds left. McCoy made 1 of 2 free throws with 2.6 seconds left.

Mahoney's layup put the Terriers up 20-18, and they led 38-26 at halftime on Tyler Scanlon's 3-pointer.

Leissner scored 20 points with seven rebounds, Josh Hopkins scored 19 points with four 3-pointers and Camara added 12 points with 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (1-6).
