Vertical Wingspan Draft Range
-- 6'11" Mid-first round
  • Franklin was one of the most productive all-around players while in college, filling essentially every role for San Diego State. He won Mountain West Player of the Year honors as a sophomore, and followed that up by averaging nearly 17 points and 10 boards a night. He won't be playing at the forward spot at the next level, and he will have to adapt to being a shooting guard. In terms of guys who just want to get a win, Franklin is one of the best. -- Jeff Borzello
  • Aside from his skillset, Franklin's competitiveness and motor separate him from his peers. He has nonstop energy. While Franklin played in the frontcourt in college, he has OK size (6-foot-5) for the two. He's very aggressive going to the basket, and his outstanding athleticism and leaping ability enables him to finish effectively at the rim. Can guard multiple positions, and rebounds very well for his size. -- Jeff Borzello
  • Franklin was counted on as a do-it-all type of player at San Diego State, so he has a tendency to force things on occasion. He will have to make better decisions at the next level. He isn't a very good perimeter shooter, either, and struggles immensely getting open and knocking down catch-and-shoot jumpers. One thing to watch could be his adjustment to playing at the two. -- Jeff Borzello
