Vertical Wingspan Draft Range

  • Hanlan is one of the sharper players in the draft, with a terrific feel for the game and general intelligence. This shows up well on offense, where he has great instincts in the pick-and-roll and when looking to score the basketball. He's one of the better scorers in the draft, with a very good jump shot that will translate well to the NBA. the key to his making it in the NBA will be whether or not he can develop on defense or as a distributor.
  • Hanlan is a highly-skilled, high-IQ player. He has very strong ball-handling ability, which he showcases well in the pick-and-roll. However, more than that he's a great scorer and shooter that averaged 22 points per game in ACC play this season while defenses sold out every night to stop him. At the combine, three separate ACC players mentioned him as the toughest player in the conference to play against, which only goes to show how good of a player he really is.
  • He's a bit in-between positions, as he's not really a good enough distributor to play the point full-time. He might have a chance as an undersized shooting guard, but that life is far more difficult. Also, his slight frame may make that difficult, as he can have problems on defense because of it.
