Vertical Wingspan Draft Range
7-4.25 15-28
  • One of the hardest workers and most physical players in the draft, Harrell will have teams that absolutely love him and others that think he's a second round guy. I tend to side with those who love him, as he's a tough player that really gets after it. He rebounds well, finishes well as he looks to dunk everything, and plays smart, communicative defense. There's a lot to like here as a role player in the Louisville product.
  • Toughness and energy are the two words that come to mind with this power forward. He's a junkyard dog that is going to clean up on the boards, move around without the ball, and finish on offense. Defensively, he has the potential to switch onto smaller players as a 4 and stick with them as yell out switches and make sure everyone is aware. Plus, his size overall profiles well to the power forward position with absolutely elite length.
  • Beyond finding the soft spot near the basket and rebound on offense, Harrell doesn't do a ton. He needs to improve his jump shot in order to become more than a bench rotation guy. He's generally an unskilled player by NBA standards that isn't going to be able to create for himself. He'll need to make his living based off of pure energy, and that's really tough.
Mock Draft
  • Round: 1    Pick: 18

    Matt Moore's Analysis:

Harrell provides the same kind of toughness P.J. Tucke brings on the wings. A pure bruiser inside.

  • Round: 1    Pick: 20

    Gary Parrish's Analysis:

Rick Pitino told me back during the summer that he anticipated only having Harrell for one more year. The Hall of Fame coach was right. (Previous: 20)

  • Round: 1    Pick: 18

    Zach Harper's Analysis:

The Suns have plenty of frontcourt options already but in terms of guys who are definite long-term fits, they still have questions. Harrell gives them a tough rebounder to throw into the mix. (Previous: 17)
