Vertical Wingspan Draft Range
N/A 6-10.5 Late 2nd-Undrafted
  • If Selden hits shots consistently, he's an NBA player. If not, he isn't. It's really that simple. The rest of the package is solid enough, but unspectacular. Where he can differentiate himself is with his shooting.
  • Selden is powerful and athletic. He can slash and attack the rim with ease, plus has length to defend his position. He's also improved as a shooter.
  • It's all about that jump shot with Selden. Can he be the kind of player that consistently hits shots, or is he more of a slasher that will be a streaky shooter.
Mock Draft
  • Round: 1    Pick: 21

    Matt Moore's Analysis:

Selden's become polarizing. I still think his potential is too high to ignore. He's got way too much skill, athleticism and ability to ignore.

  • Round: 1    Pick: 26

    Gary Parrish's Analysis:

Miami obviously doesn't need much immediate help, and you probably can't find that down here anyway. So why not take the best young prospect available? In my opinion, that's Selden, who could be the third Jayhawk selected in the first round. (Previous: 15)

  • Round: 1    Pick: 22

    Zach Harper's Analysis:

The Thunder were able to develop Jeremy Lamb quite nicely in about a year. Selden has higher potential as a more complete offensive talent, but he needs to show more than we saw in his freshman year. (Previous: 11)
