  • Another player that profiles as a perfect modern NBA big man, Turner has the size, shot-blocking ability, and shooting skill that teams crave. He led the Big 12 in block percent at 12.3, and was in the top-10 of all of college basketball.Despite his 27 percent 3-point mark, his shooting mechanics are good and point to potential for development. There are questions regarding his athleticism, running mechanics, and potential for injury, but he could turn into a starting NBA center.
  • He's a terrific shot-blocker. His 4.7 swats per-40 minutes were second among all NCAA players on my top-100 board, and points to his potential to protect the rim in the NBA. Rim protection is essential to good defenses in the league now, and Turner profiles as a potential defensive centerpiece. He also has potential as a shooter spacing the floor, with solid mechanics out to the collegiate 3-point line.
  • The major question marks surrounding Turner mostly involve his athleticism and health. Turner moves well for a player his size, but he has a very strange running gait that some have said could lead to injuries down the road. For his part, Turner has noted that he's met with specialists who have told him that he is fully healthy. However, it'll come down to team-by-team evaluations of him.
