Trae Young, Oklahoma
Draft Prospect Outlook:
Trae Young is as dynamic a point guard in this draft as you'll find. He's a terrific perimeter scorer, possesses great court vision, and has a certain "it" factor that made him electric to watch in college at Oklahoma. He wore down at the end of his freshman season, though, and his lack of physical strength is a big knock on his game. Sometimes he forces the issue when it's not necessary.
• In his lone college season, became the only player to ever lead the country in points and assists in a single season.
• Teamed with Michael Porter Jr. to win a Peach Jam Championship in his final high school summer after averaging a ridiculous 42.6 points a game as a senior.
• Father Rayford Young played college basketball at Texas Tech before playing professionally in Europe.
