No. 1 -- Edged at Nebraska. The Hoosiers blew a double-digit lead in the final six minutes to lose 70-69. Turnovers down the stretch cost them. So did allowing 10 offensive rebounds that the Cornhuskers converted into 10 points. Nebraska would finish 12-18 overall and tied with Penn State for last in the Big Ten at 4-14. No. 2 -- Stunned by Minnesota. The Gophers came to Assembly Hall 0-4 in the Big Ten. IU was unbeaten at home. Minnesota started strong, especially from 3-point range. The Hoosiers struggled to make anything. Gophers G Austin Hollis' 18-points offset 23 points by F Cody Zeller in the 77-74 upset. Minnesota would finish 6-12 in the Big Ten, but rebounded to reach the NIT semifinals. No. 3 -- Hammered at Iowa. The Hawkeyes had lost two straight road games. IU had won three straight. But the Hoosiers couldn't stop turning the ball over, stop Iowa from getting offensive rebounds or stop G Matt Gatens (30 points). The Hoosiers trailed 37-26 at halftime and lost 78-66. Iowa would go 18-17 and finished 1-1 in the NIT, losing at Oregon 108-97.
