GAME BALL GOES TO
QB Jay Cutler -- He got the Commodores moving by completing 15 of 21 passes for 156 yards and a touchdown and rushing for 73 yards and a touchdown. It was Cutler's fifth consecutive game without an interception.

KEEP AN EYE ON
RB Kwane Doster -- He hasn't been the same since a strong freshman season in 2002, but Doster finally broke through for the first time this season with 117 rushing yards on Saturday.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"What gets me is people who write and say stuff who never come to practice, never see a play. They don't know what we're doing here so they don't know what they're talking about. For 22 years this program has been beat up. Everybody knew the state of things when we got here, and Coach (Bobby) Johnson has worked extremely hard to build a program. These are good kids who are working hard and making progress. I don't appreciate it when somebody who doesn't have a clue starts criticizing us." -- Offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell, reacting in The Tennessean to recent media criticism of the program.
