Reynolds was designated for assignment by the Angels on Friday.
The Angels brought Reynolds in on a waiver claim early in the season, but he struggled in 11 appearances with Double-A Arkansas (5.62 ERA, 1.63 WHIP, 15:12 K:BB), and the team decided he was no longer deserving of a spot on the 40-man roster. He will now be subjected to waivers, but the 25-year-old may ultimately accept an outright assignment back to Arkansas.
