Guerra cleared waivers Wednesday and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake.
The right-hander was designated for assignment earlier in February, and despite posting a solid 3.21 ERA and exhibiting outstanding control during 53.1 major league innings, he'll remain on the Angels' farm a bit longer. Unless an injury strikes the big league relief corps, it seems like Guerra is destined for an organizational depth role in 2017.
