Adell smashed a two-run home run off teammate Jose Rodriguez in an intrasquad game Thursday, Trent Rush of Angels Radio Network reports.
The long ball was Adell's first of what the organization hopes will be many at Angel Stadium. Adell could make a push for the team's initial 30-man roster with a strong performance in summer camp, though he'd likely be relegated to a reserve role if he does break camp with the club.
