Angels' Keynan Middleton: Returns from injury
Middleton (elbow) pitched a scoreless seventh inning with a pair of strikeouts for his ninth hold of the season in Saturday's 2-0 win over the Rangers.
Middleton was pulled from his previous outing Thursday with an ulnar nerve irritation in his right elbow. The 24-year-old made a speedy recovery, as expected, missing just one game before firing a perfect inning upon his return. While Blake Parker remains the Halos' top option for saves, Middleton is still in the mix while manager Mike Scioscia mixes and matches in the ninth; Yusmeiro Petit got the save Saturday.
