Trout (calf) has not yet received clearance to begin a rehab assignment, the Associated Press reports.

Trout has been ramping up his activity of late and has progressed to running the bases. However, he is not yet ready for game action, and manager Joe Maddon suggested that the organization is taking a cautious approach with the superstar outfielder. "You don't want to hurry something like this. You don't want to push it to the point where he ends up reinjuring it and it becomes chronic," Maddon said. A late-July return is still within reach for Trout, though it wouldn't be surprising if he is held out until early August.
