Tropeano (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery after getting a second opinion on his elbow, Pedro Moura of the LA Times reports.
Tropeano landed on the DL on July 19 after experiencing elbow soreness during an outing. He will likely miss all of the 2017 season after undergoing the procedure, and has a long recovery ahead of him. The 25-year-old was 3-2 with a 3.56 ERA and a 0.62 WHIP for the Angels over the course of 68.1 innings this season.
