Bridwell will receive the start for Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Bridwell will enter the rotation in place of Matt Shoemaker (forearm), who landed on the disabled list Saturday. It's not clear if Shoemaker will miss more than one start with the forearm strain, but even if that's the case, Bridwell may need to pitch well Tuesday in order to secure another starting nod. Bridwell surrendered three runs over six innings in his lone other start with the Angels back on May 30, and he fared well against these same Yankees while working in long relief June 14, allowing an unearned run in 3.2 scoreless innings while scattering seven hits.
