Angels' Taylor Jones: Signs minors deal with Angels

Jones signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on Thursday.

Jones owns a career .234/.260/.395 slash line in 43 MLB games, and at age 29, it's unlikely a significant step forward is on the horizon. He recorded a slightly above-average 108 wRC+ at the Triple-A level last season, so it's unlikely he plays a meaningful role for the Angels this year.
