Astros manager A.J. Hinch said Feliz "may get a look (in the closer role) whenever we need it," Angel Verdejo Jr. of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Feliz has been phenomenal in relief over the last 30 days, compiling a 4-1 record with a 0.55 ERA, 0.43 WHIP and 26:2 K:BB over 16.1 innings. The 22-year-old right-hander has the velocity (94.2 mph) that is often desired for the closer role, but he's found success as the long man out of Houston's bullpen. Out of the current the candidates to pitch the ninth inning, Feliz is probably a long shot to see save chances behind Will Harris, Ken Giles and Luke Gregerson, who is getting a "mental and physical break from the (closer) role," per Hinch.
